Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This is a general summary of the terms that govern use of Talk2Expert. It is provided as a starting point and has not been reviewed by a lawyer — please have it reviewed before relying on it as a binding legal agreement.
1. The service
Talk2Expert connects customers with independent, third-party experts for paid consultations delivered by video, audio or chat. Experts are not employees of Talk2Expert; we verify credentials before an expert profile goes live, but the advice given during a consultation is the expert's own responsibility, not ours.
2. Bookings and payment
Booking a consultation reserves a time slot with an expert and requires payment in full, in KES, via M-Pesa or card at checkout. Funds are held until the consultation is marked completed and a short dispute window has passed, after which the expert's share (net of Talk2Expert's commission) is released to their balance.
3. Cancellations and refunds
Customers who cancel at least 24 hours before a scheduled consultation receive a full refund. A later cancellation by the customer is not refunded, other than at Talk2Expert's discretion. If an expert cancels or fails to join, the customer is always refunded in full.
4. Disputes
Either party can raise a dispute on a completed booking. Talk2Expert reviews the booking and payment record and may issue a full refund, partial refund, or no refund, at its reasonable discretion.
5. Conduct
Consultations must be conducted respectfully. Talk2Expert may suspend any account that abuses the platform, violates the law, or misrepresents its qualifications.
6. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use of Talk2Expert after a change means you accept the revised terms.
